About the Hotel

Balaton’s Riviera...

Our hotel is located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in Balatonföldvár, 3 minutes to pier, railway station and town center. It has a 72,000 m2 park with old trees and a privet beach.

Because of its unique features it is very popular among visitors. Its predecessor was already appeared as Mermaid Hostel, among Balatonföldvár prestigious villas in the 1930s.

The fameous hungarian investor, János Fenyő was started to build Mermaid Hostel, which opened in 1938, with 60 rooms .

The Hostel has been demolished in 1979 and replaced by a seven –storeyed Holiday Hotel with 316 capacity, by the famous designer Isvtán Kerekes’s project.

The building's interior was designed by József Garajszky.

The Riviera park Hotel was rewarded with excellent results by the Lake Regional Tourism Committee, the Lake Balaton Development Council and the Association of Balaton in "flowery ACCOMMODATION" category in 2009.
